ENTERING THE AWARDS
How do I enter? Entering the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards 2009 is simple. All you need to do in the first instance is complete the entry form and payment option online and we'll start the ball rolling.
Entries must be received by 31st March 2009 to qualify for entry into the research process.
What category should we enter? We're seeking entries from any hospitality companies operating in the UK of all sizes.You may enter as many categories as you wish, the standard entry fee is £500+VAT. Each additional category will cost £250+ VAT .See the list of categories here.
How much does it cost and what do I get? You may enter as many categories as you wish, the standard entry fee is £500+VAT, each additional category will cost £250+VAT.All companies entering will receive:
- An in depth employee opinion benchmarking document allowing you to compare your employment standards with industry averages
- 10 free jobs of your choice placed onto Caterersearch Jobs. These will remain on Caterersearch Jobs for six months from date of entry into the awards (value £1480).
- Your employer profile including company logo on Caterersearch Jobs for one year and a 'click through' to your corporate website (value £500)
- The opportunity to purchase half price advertising during the six months from date of entry into the awards.
- You will also receive one complimentary ticket per entry to the prestigious awards luncheon to be held on 14th September 2009 at One Whitehall Place (further tickets will be available to purchase).
The fees help to cover the cost of carrying out the in-depth research and collating the detailed individual company reports that each entrant will receive. If companies were to conduct this research themselves, it would cost thousands of pounds, this is a cost-effective way of gaining some great insight into your company - what makes it a good place to work, and what could help make it an even better place to work.
You will receive an in-depth employee opinion report on your company and its sector, giving you a fantastic benchmarking tool (for each additional category entered you will receive one additional report). You will also be entitled to one complimentary ticket per entry to the prestigious awards luncheon to be held on 14th September 2009 at One Whitehall Place (further tickets will be available to purchase).
What happens once I have entered? Once you have entered, each company will be sent an entry pack which looks specifically at your company and what you offer your employees. We'll also want to know whether you have any company values - and we'll ask if you have any other comments you want to add too.
We'll also email you the link to the Employee Questionnaire , which you will need to email to all your employees. Employee comments will be completely anonymous.
You are required to meet the minimum number of responses based on the total of employees within your organisation. It is your responsibility to ensure that this target is met, however we will notify you if you are falling short of the minimum number of responses.

Please note the information you and your employees supply will remain strictly confidential. It will not be passed onto any third party, and employees taking part in the survey will not be named or identified in any way.
Once all the individual company results are submitted by the closing date of 24th April, companies will be ranked according to their performance.
When do entries close? You must register your interest online by completing the entry form and payment method by 31st March 2009 to qualify for entering the research process. You will then have until 24th April 2009 to complete your questionnaires. Each organisation's employees must have completed the required number of surveys by this date to be included in the final judging. The independent research firm conducting the research will let firms know beforehand if they require more entries.
What happens to the surveys after they're sent in? The independent research firm will collate the results for each firm, and will produce a tailor-made individual report on each company which entered. The comments given by your organisation and employees may also be used during the final judging process. These comments will remain anonymous at all times. THE AWARDS PRESENTATION
When will I know if I have won? The results are a closely guarded secret, and are only revealed at the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards 2009. Winning one of these Awards is a huge achievement. The winners of each category will be revealed at the Awards luncheon on 14 September 2009 at One Whitehall Place, Lodnon in front of colleagues and peers from the industry. The winners will be published in Caterer and Hotelkeeper after the event and will also appear on www.caterersearch.com
What happens next? All entrants will be contacted individually, and will be sent details on the awards lunch presentation. If you are a winner you will be sent a Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2009 logo after the Awards which you are free to use on stationery, recruitment advertising or any company material.
